Kent Irving Palmer

Kent I. Palmer, 94, of Blue Springs, Mo passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date after the travel and other restrictions have been lifted. Kent was born on January 27, 1926 in Stronghurst, IL to Homer and Margret Palmer. He was inducted into the Army in the spring of 1944 and served with the 70th Division in the European Theater of operations until the end of the war in Europe. Kent had many great passions in life including a good glass of wine, dancing every Saturday night, and above all his love for St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He never met a stranger and enjoyed traveling around the country collecting different stories and experiencing the natural beauty. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Eldon Palmer, his wife, Marie. He is survived by his son Rick Palmer and his 4 children and 6 great-grandchildren, his son Tom Palmer and his 5 stepchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and John Palmer and his wife, Cheryl, and their 3 children and 3 great grandchildren.
