Veneranda Zuniga Paranal, 89 of Blue Springs, passed away, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Truman Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 13, 2012 at St. John Lalande Catholic Church 805 NW RD Mize Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64015. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at St. John Lalande Catholic Church followed by visitation until 9:00 p.m. She was born on April 14, 1923, to the union of Julio and Benita in Pampanga, Philippines. Veneranda was united in holy matrimony with Constancio, Sr. in 1948. Their union was blessed with two sons and three daughters. In 1992, Veneranda migrated to America where she shared many experiences and traveled all over America, sharing extended time in Missouri and in California. She was naturalized and became an official citizen of the United States in 1997. 2001-2007 found Veneranda back in the Philippines before spending her remaining time in Missouri. Coming from a humble background, she cherished all the successes of her kin. While reminiscing about her past, a twinkle in her eye and a big smile would appear; leaving a treasured image of her that all her family and friends will remember and hold close to his or her heart. Veneranda peacefully departed her life on December 8, 2012 with family present. She was preceded in death by her five siblings, husband, niece Martha and grandson Boy. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son Boy (Jun) and his wife Mila, their four children (Mary Anne, Mark, Maricris and Michael); her son Dideng (Leopoldo) and his wife Eloi, their three daughters (Terri, Nica & Aivee); her daughter Baby (Yollie) and husband Archie, their four daughters (Jessica, Jessamine, Janessa & Jillian); her daughter Josie and husband Noli, their children (Anna Maye, Honey & AJ); her daughter Ning (Mavic) and husband Rey, their children (Jan Rey, Hannah & Francis); her great-granddaughters Reese, Charlize and Breanne, daughters of Mary Anne & Bernard; her great-grandsons, Adam & Liam, sons of Terri & Howard; and her nieces, Agring and Chayong.
