Nelson “Carl” Partch, 82, of Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017. A visitation will be held from 9-10am on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A memorial service will follow at 10am at the chapel.
Carl was born on July 23, 1935 in St. Joseph, MO to Henry Nelson and Anna Almeda (Lewis) Partch. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army. In 1956 he married Joan Runion. In his free time he enjoyed fly fishing, working on computers, reading, yardwork and wood-working.
Carl will be remembered by his son Richard Partch and wife Margaret of Trimble, MO; daughter Laura Ward and husband David of Adrian, MO; daughter Kathryn Nichol and husband David of Independence, MO; 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan Partch and sister Selma Mansfield.
