Patsy Ann Paschall, 53 a life long resident of Independence, passed away at her home September 2, 2003 after a three year struggle with cancer. Services 11:00 am Saturday, September 6, 2003 at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home with visitation from 7-8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Kendallwood Hospice or the American Cancer Society. She was born January 4, 1950 the daughter of Edwin R. and Gladys C. Murry Harter, Sr. Patsy was a 1968 graduate of William Chrisman High School where she was a member of the German Club and Shakespeare Literary Society. Prior to her illness she was employed by GEHA in Independence. An expert seamstress, Patsy created quilts and crafted items which she proudly gave as gifts. She and her husband were motorcycle enthusiasts and traveled to Wisconsin and Daytona to attend Harley Davidson sponsored events. She was a Baptist and member of Discovery Church of Blue Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years, Robert E. Paschall in 1998 and her mother, Gladys Harter in 1974. She is survived by her father and step-mother, Edwin and Geraldine Harter, three brothers, Edwin, Jr., David and Larry Harter and one sister, Doris Clubb and her husband Charley all of Independence; sister-in-law Earletta Trytten and husband Dennis of Cathedral City, CA and nephews David Beem of Santa Ana, CA and Douglas Beem of Missoula, MT; nieces Charlene Rittel and Christina Harter of Independence, Amanda and Emily Harter of Pleasant Hill; nephews Kurt Harter of Independence and David "Russell� Harter, Jr. of Sugar Creek, Travis Clubb of Springfield, MO Tyler Clubb of Buckner, MO and four great nephews and six great nieces.
