Tressie Lee Pater, 84 of Bates City, Mo. died August 28, 2006 at her home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7-9 pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Graveside services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Harrisonville Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, Mo. Tressie was born in Larkin, Arkansas on October 12, 1921 the daughter of Elmer and Annie Betty (Wilson) Jones. She loved to quilt. Tressie was a cook most of her life in the Independence area and worked for many years at Clem�s Drive In. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Jimmy Melvin Pater Jr. of the home and his fianc�e Nancy Wagner; two grandchildren, Jimmy M. Pater II and Crystal Pater both of the home; a sister Jane Conyuers of Cave city, Arkansas and a brother, Wilson Jones of Independence, Mo.
