Patricia Louise Hood passed away on October 17, 2023 at the age of 79. Patte was a loving and caring lady and touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity.
Patte was born on April 16, 1944, in Deer Lodge, Montana. She grew up in a loving and caring home, on the family ranch in the Deer Lodge Valley. She was the eldest daughter of Robert Andrew Beck, and Patricia Mary (Tanner) Beck. Her two sisters are, Andrea Danielson of Sedona, Arizona, and Margret McGill of Redmond, Washington.
Patte graduated from Lincoln High School, in Anaconda, Montana. She attended Butte Business College, and was hired from the school before graduating, because of her work ethic and dependability. She later worked for the Anaconda Company and they transfered her to Tucson, Arizona. There she met the love of her life, Garry Hood, and he met his. They married in 1969, went on their honeymoon, changed jobs and moved to Independence, Missouri. They celebrated 54 years of marriage in August.
Patte was very proud of her two daughters, Anita, and Kendra. Anita, the eldest, resides in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband Joel, and their two children, Jacob and Amanda. Kendra Brown, of Independence, is the Mother of Meagen Brake, her husband Jeffrey, and their two children, Hadley and Holden. They will forever cherish the love and guidance that their mother, grand mother and great-grand mother shared with each of them.
Patte had a wide range of interests, including flower arranging, card making, reading, “shop till you drop” outings, and enjoyed helping out in the food pantry. She loved to bake, and especially loved making chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies for everyone. She and Hadley also created some interesting treats as well.
Patte will be deeply missed by all who knew her warm smile, gentle nature, and loving spirit and will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. As we say good by to this remarkable woman, rejoice and celebrate the beautiful life she had, and the countless lives she touched with her selflessness and loving compassion.
