Inez Patterson

Inez Patterson, 83, peacefully passed away Monday morning surrounded by family. Her life began October 23, 1927, in rural Jackson County, Kansas.
In 1950 King, Inez, and Jan and Guy Saxton, began building an oasis of serenity in Independence, MO. called Cool Crest Garden Golf. It still provides entertainment for families of all ages.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband King Patterson and brother Lester Damme. She is survived by son Allan Patterson and wife Debbie, Cornville, AZ; daughter Yvonne Patterson, Kansas City, MO; son Dennis Patterson and wife Teresa, Blue Springs, MO; sister Karen Wheeler; brother Gerald Damme and wife Peggy; sister-in-law Marilyn Damme, all of Topeka, KS; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 am Friday, Oct. 14 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow at Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions in Inez’s memory to the charity of your choice.
