Margaret Marie Patterson, of Independence, MO, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020, peacefully at her home. She was 91.
Margaret entered this world on November 8, 1929 in Piatt County, IL, the child of Felix W. and Lizzie Dee Bunch. After graduating from Park City High School in 1948, she married her beloved husband, Marvin R. Patterson, in the US Air Force and together, they created a wonderful life and legacy (they would have been married 72 years).
Margaret and family moved to Independence in the 1960’s from Glasgow, Kentucky. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor. She had a great education, impeccably dressed, and had the most beautiful writing. She held clerical positions at TG&Y and baked donuts at a local donut shop. She loved Jesus and the serenity prayer. She attended Safe Harbor Fellowship Baptist Church, supported Boys Town and supported/listened to Charles Stanley and InTouch Ministries. She was a heartfelt animal lover and an avid flower gardener.
Margaret leaves behind her four cherished grandchildren, Kevin D. Myers (and wife Maria) of Lawson, Michael S. Myers of Independence, Gregory D. Myers (and wife DeeAnn) of Blue Springs, Kelley N. (Patterson) Sebastiano of Oak Grove, and nine great grandchildren, Justin Myers of Liberty, Kason Sebastiano, Kyle Sebastiano, and Kamryn Sebastiano of Oak Grove, Ryan Myers, Emily Myers and Megan Myers of Blue Springs, Patrick Myers and Daniel Myers of Lawson, as well as, her beloved fur-baby, Rowdy. She also leaves behind many close friends and neighbors that were very important to her. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Intimate Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 11 a.m. at Swan Lake Cemetery.
