Robert Lewis Patterson

Robert “Rob” Lewis Patterson, 50, of Independence, Mo. went to his heavenly home on August 29, 2021. Born on December 15, 1970 to Virgie Patterson. He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1989. Rob enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserves on January 31, 2003. He proudly served his country and went to active duty to serve 16 months overseas during Iraqi Freedom. He was promoted to chief Petty Officer on January 29, 2021. Rob was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, friend, and shipmate.
He was married to Andrea Patterson (Dotson) on January 5, 2008. Together they had six children, Mikaela, Tressa, Michael, Joseph, Tristen and Mia. Additional survivors include his brother, Darrell (Shelly) Patterson; sisters Vicki (Joe) Bleyenberg and Sandra Patterson; mother in law, Rosemary Dotson and sister in law, Amanda (Damon) Dombrowski; many nieces and nephews and grandson, Noah.
Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 7th at 10am with burial to follow at Mound Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.
