Ralph Evan Paul, 78, of Independence, MO passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 6th from 9-10am with a service following at 10am, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St.; Independence, MO 64055. Inurnment will take place in Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date.
Ralph was born on May 14th, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to William E. and Estell (M. (Bailey) Paul. He graduated from Ruskin High School in 1962 and went on to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After his honorable service, Ralph completed his Bachelor of Science degree, with an emphasis in Math from UMKC.
On July 4, 1998, Ralph married his wife, Phyllis and together, they made Independence their home.
Ralph was employed by the USPS for nearly 30 successful years, first as a carrier and then as a truck and equipment mechanic. After retirement, Ralph still enjoyed working different part-time jobs, especially for the Royals as an attendant during baseball season. He was a member of the VFW and also East Side Church in Independence.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis; son, Joshua Paul; stepdaughter, Heather Berry; brother, Raymond Paul (Darlene Watson), and sister, Lois Hoover.
