James Kenneth “Kenny” Pauley, 85, of Independence, MO passed away Friday, July 14, 2017 at Village House Hospice in Lees Summit. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Carson-Speaks Chapel 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO, 64052. A service will follow at 2pm at the chapel.
Kenny was born on June 8, 1932 in Kansas City, MO to James Edward and Maddie (Harrison) Pauley. In October of 1952, he married Beverly Dolde. Together they have spent that last 64 years raising their family and creating many memories. He enjoyed golfing with his buddies Armand, Wendle, and Melvin, riding motorcycles, and boating. He loved visiting the family’s lake house down at Lake of the Ozarks with his children, grandchildren and especially his great-grandchildren.
Kenny will be greatly missed and remembered by his loving wife Beverly of Independence, MO; daughter Gail Jackson and husband Sam of Independence, MO; son Steven Pauley of Menlo Park, CA; sister Wilma Murry of La Cerne Valley, CA; granddaughter Jaimie Tanis and husband Chris of Independence, MO; and 3 grandchildren Brian, Rachel, and Kelsey Tanis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Wanda Jones and Jerry Pauley, and his daughter Joyce Phelps.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Village House Hospice or Wayside Waifs.
