Scott Mark Pearson, 62, of Independence, MO, passed away on July 5, 2021.
Scott was born October 28, 1958, in Topeka, KS, the son of Thomas F. Pearson and Phyllis L. (Metzler) Pearson.
The majority of his working years were spent in injection molding, as a line chief and maintenance technician. He married Dianne Pearson on August 18, 1993, and they made their home in Independence, MO. Through the years they rescued dogs and cats, giving them a loving home. Scott enjoyed gatherings with his family on his father's farm, especially on the fourth of July.
The outdoors were where he spent much of his free time, going on camping trips to many states and national parks, trout fishing, and taking family members on Jeep rides. Whenever possible, he took his motorcycle on the open road. He participated in the Wounded Warriors Patriot Guard for funerals of fallen heroes. He had many good times as a Civil War reenactor. Nick and Dianne would travel to watch him in his wool Confederate uniform running across fields in the Midwestern summer heat. In his later years he enjoyed many peaceful moments on the deck with Dianne and the family pets.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Pearson, and father, Thomas Pearson.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Pearson; son, Nicholas Pearson; sisters Lisa Ainsworth and husband Roger; Penny Rogers and husband Will; step-mother, Janice Pearson; stepsons William Stuart and wife Christina; David Stuart and wife Kristine; step-grandchildren Timothy Stuart, Rachel Stuart, and Bethany Stuart.
