Peiu Toli Piutau, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on September 14, 1954, in the beautiful village of Mapusaga Fou, American Samoa, Peiu lived a life rich with connection, faith, and joy.

A proud graduate of Raytown High School, class of 1972, Peiu began her career as a clerical clerk for the LDS Church and later for Unity Village, where her dedication and warm spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the fortune of knowing her. Her professional life was a testament to her loving nature, marked by an unwavering commitment to serving her community.

In addition to her impressive professional career, Peiu had a variety of hobbies that brought her immense happiness. She found solace in the art of sewing and needlepoint, with her creations often gifted to those she held dear. Whether it was getting her nails done or engaging in countless hours of jigsaw puzzles, Peiu embraced life with a joyful heart. Known as the "Queen of Bingo," her competitive spirit was matched only by her sense of humor, which could light up any room.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Vaisa Ilaoa; as well as a host of her adoring nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories and adventures they shared with her. The bond she fostered with her family was a source of joy and strength, illuminating their lives with her loving presence.
