Preston Pemberton

Preston G. Pemberton, 86, Urich, MO, passed away July 2, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Friday, July 5 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Adrian, MO. Visitation will begin at 9 am before the service at the chapel. Preston was born Dec. 16, 1926 in Kiowa, CO. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. He worked at Yowell Tool & Die in Kansas City for thirty-eight years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Swope Park, VFW, American Legion Post #21 and was active with the Eastern Star. Preston is survived by son Rick Pemberton and wife Monica, Lee’s Summit, MO; step-son David Leonard and wife Lisa, South Dakota; sister Georgia Kohrs and husband Bill, Nixa, MO; sister-in-law Bobbie Pemberton, Independence, MO; two step-grandchildren and many other family members.
