Donna Jean Pence (Brant)

Donna Jean Pence, 83, of Independence, MO passed away March 29, 2018 at Centerpoint Hospital. Donna was born March 1, 1935 in Montserrat, MO the daughter of Ray and Evalena (Haller) Brant. After graduation form Warrensburg Public High School in 1953 she moved to KCMO and was employed by Hallmark Cards for several years. Donna retired from Richards & Conover Steel Supply. She was a member of Maywood Baptist Church. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 30 years, Clyde R. Pence in 2006, son Charles Steven Michael in 2005, sisters; Opal Carter, Bernice Marting, Mercedes O’Connor, and Lucille Biernot; and a brother Cecil Brant. Her survivors include; step-daughters Lynda Parker and her husband Jimmy, Joyce Friedman and her husband Lee; step-son Clyde Pence and his wife Mary; daughter-in-law Carol Michael; grandchildren Lori Tims and her husband Richard, James Parker and his wife Lisa, Jeffrey Parker and his wife Jennifer, Jeremy Pence, Jessica Schmid and her husband Tim, Julie Franke and husband Shawn; 14 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Olivia Brant; many nieces and nephews and many friends. Visitation will be 9-10 am Friday, April 6, 2018 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 10am at the Chapel.
