Ruby Pence (Garnett)

Ruby Jane Pence (nee Garnett) died peacefully on Christmas evening, 12/25/21. She was 98. The family will greet friends from 10-11:00 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2022 at the Speaks Buckner Chapel 300 Adams St., Buckner, MO 64016 immediately followed by a graveside services at Buckner Hill Cemetery.

She was the devoted wife of Reuben Baxter Pence (deceased), loving mother of James Pence (Marian), Gerald Pence (Heather), Exceptional grandmother to Natalie Mulligan (Chris), Elliot Pence, Megan Pence, Kara Heisler (Patrick) and Mitch Pence. She was the great grandmother of four. Ruby was a friend to many and loved by all. Ruby graduated with her Masters in Home Economics and Tailoring from the University of Missouri. She taught Home Economics at Buckner High School until the family was transferred to Atlanta, Georgia and then finally settling in Bay Village, Ohio where she continued substitute teaching while being a home maker.
