Mary Ortega Perez, 90, Independence, MO passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Mary was born May 14, 1923 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Francisco and Felicita (Rodrigro) Ortega. Survivors include her Daughters, Ruth Stewart and husband Harold, Eva Pinon and husband Carlos, Martha Perez, Rachel Betanzos and husband Heliodoro and Elizabeth Melahn and husband Jeff; Son, Robert Perez and wife Cheryl; Step-Daughter, Angelina St. Dennis; Step-Brother, Joe Ojeda, 20 Grandchildren including Rene Perez who she lived with for many years; 21 Great Grandchildren; 8 Great Great Grandchildren; Sister, Delores Galvin; Brother, Frank Ortega; and additional Nieces, Nephews and Family. She was preceded in death by her Husband Bernardino Perez in 1968; Sister, Antoina Cruz, half Sister, Calendaria Pacheco, step Daughter, Orfelina Pinon; Sister, Marsella Santion; and her Parents. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
