Peter Perez, 48, of Independence, MO, passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2005 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at St. Ann�s Catholic Church 10113 E. Lexington in Independence, MO. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery 701 S. Noland Rd. Independence, MO. The family will greet friends from 7 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th Street in Independence, MO where there will be a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Peter was born November 24, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to Juan and Petra (Garcia) Perez and has been a lifelong area resident. He worked as a supervisor for Bank of America for the past 30 years. He enjoyed playing softball, was an avid sports fan and enjoyed listening to music. He is survived by; his wife, Lynne of the home; his father, Juan Perez and his wife Ruth of Independence, MO; a son, Nate Perez (Leticia) of Kansas City, KS; a daughter, Jordan Perez (Danny) and her mother Carol of Blue Springs, MO; a step son, Jake Bales (Rachel) of Independence, MO; a step daughter, Kristina Otto (Patrick) of Sugar Creek, MO; 7 brothers, John Perez of Independence, MO, Tom Perez of Kansas City, MO, Mike Perez (Judy) of Independence, MO, Joe Perez of Overland Park, KS, Joe Montoya of Kansas City, MO, Tony Montoya of Independence, MO and Rick Montoya of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters, Linda Perez and Yolanda Adams both of Independence, MO and 3 grandchildren, Michael Perez, Samantha Perez and Austen Bales. He was preceded in death by his mother Petra a sister Mary Lou Perez and his grandfather Luis Perez.
