Layne Perrin, 85, of Buckner, MO passed away on October 10, 2005 at his home. A visitation will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13, at the Speaks Buckner Chapel. The service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at the First Christian Church of Buckner. Layne was born on March 21, 1920 in Meta, MO to Aytch and Georgia (Robinson) Perrin. He lived in Jackson County and attended the local grade school and then graduated from the Buckner High School. He started to college, but when WWII began he joined the U. S. Navy and served for 6 years. He was an airplane mechanic. On July 13, 1946, he married Marjorie Bowling. They lived in Pensacola, FL during Layne�s last year in service. In 1949, they moved to the Walnut Grove, west of Buckner, where Layne farmed. They were members of the First Christian Church in Buckner. Layne was an elder at the church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marjorie (Bowling) Perrin; 3 sons, Allen, Bruce and Charles Perrin; 1 brother, Price Perrin; and 3 grandchildren.
