Zartie D. "Dee" Perry Sr.

Zartie “Dee” Perry, Sr., 81, Independence, MO passed away Dec. 30, 2016. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Jan. 6 at Speaks Suburban chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 6-7:30 pm Thursday at the chapel. Zartie was born April 10, 1935 in Kansas City, MO and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was the owner of Bandee Foil Stamping Co. for thirty years. He and his wife loved traveling to Disney World and had visited there over thirty times. Zartie was preceded in death by his beloved wife Betty C. Perry, brother Austin Adkins and sister Mary Margaret Leach. He is survived by daughter Sherri Lukenbill and husband Robert, Independence, MO; son Ed Perry and wife Kathy, Kansas City, MO; daughter Roxanna Gibson and husband Derek; sons Zartie Perry, Jr. and wife Brenda, all of Independence, MO; Dewayne Perry and wife Stephanie August, Springfield, MO; sister Betty Jo Bradley, Independence, MO; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
