Carol Mae Persinger, 68 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the chapel. Carol was born July 2, 1944 in Iowa to Harry and Alberta (Kessler) Hoover. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed painting, fishing, Facebook, garage sales, going to the casinos and most of all spending time with family especially her grandchildren.. She was a member of the Spirit Life Worship Center. She was married to John Persinger on June 7, 1967; he survives of the home. Other survivors include; 3 daughters, Cora Pearce and husband Joseph of Blue Springs, MO, Penny Wren and husband James of Kansas City, MO and Carolyn Reeves and husband Jeff of Independence, MO; a sister, Linda Bowles of San Antonio, TX; 3 brothers, Doyle Hoover of Oklahoma City, OK, Kenny Hoover Ecru, MS, and Harry Hoover of Iowa; 7 grandchildren, Austin Pearce, Skyler Nohrenberg, Zachary Pearce, Shonay Persinger, Corissa Nohrenberg, Shantaha Persinger and Ingenué Persinger. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Nohrenberg, a brother, Jerry Hoover, a son, Jackie Bresee, and 2 grandchildren Louie Persinger and Shaylee Persinger.
