Anna Petentler, 83 of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Monday, August 21, 2006 at Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2006 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday evening at the chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery. Donations may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church. Anna was born March 21, 1923 in Cement City, MO to George and Anna (Pauliny) Balko and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from William Chrisman High School. She was a homemaker and had worked at Standard Oil Company and the Sugar Creek swimming pool. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing and had attended the Lutheran Church. She was married to Ralph Petentler on December 19, 1962, he died in 1993. Survivors include; a son, Benjamin James and his wife Leslie of Independence, MO; a sister, Mildred Balko of Sugar Creek, MO; 3 granddaughters, Crystal McDaniel of Independence, MO, Jennifer James of Belleville, IL and Lindsay James of Independence, MO; 2 step sons, Charles Petentler of Shell Knob, MO and Pete Petentler of Independence, MO; a step daughter, Barb Anstaett of Lee�s Summit, MO; 3 great grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
