Kimberly Petterson

Kimberly Yvette Petterson, 40, of Independence, MO was granted her angel wings on Saturday, September 22, 2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 27 from 6-8pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will commence Friday September 28 at 2pm. Kim will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens mmediately following.
Her final hours were spent surrounded by loving family and friends that she had touched throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Kim was born on February 14, 1972 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from William Chrisman High School in 1990. She was a loving mother and wife. She devoted all of her time watching her children play sports and ensuring they had a joyous life. She enjoyed spending quality time with her husband at the casino. Kim always loved game night with the family. She is survived by her husband Michael Petterson; sons Cody & Michael Jr; and daughter Brianna, of the home; parents, Pamela Holden, Forsyth, MO. and Gary McGee Sr., Independence, MO; sister Jamie McGee-Simpson and brother Gary McGee Jr. and wife Heather Richardson, Independence, MO; nephews Anthony Simpson, Jace Richardson, Johnathan & Joe Petterson and Alec Petterson; nieces, Cassie Simpson, Savannah Petterson, and Hailie & Zoe Richardson; mother and father-in-law, Vicky & Don Atterbury; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim & Kim Petterson and James & Nikki Petterson and grandfather Wesley "Chuck" Holden. Kim was proceeded in death by her grandmothers Goldie Hawkins and Patricia Cook. Kim was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She will be sadly missed by all.
