Donald R. Phalen, 88, Kansas City, MO passed away March 3, 2020. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. The family requests contributions to the SHOW-ME Christian Youth Home, 24302 Mahin Rd., P.O. Box 6, Lamonte, MO 65337.
Donald was born Dec. 4, 1931 in Hume, MO and graduated from Hume High School before earning an Associate degree at Kansas City Junior College. He was a quality assurance specialist for the Department of Energy for forty years before his retirement in 1992. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Red Bridge Church of Christ and the American Legion.
Donald is survived by his wife of sixty-four years Mary Phalen, of the home; daughter Lisa Summers and husband Chris, Omaha, NE; grandsons Kenneth Summers and wife Heather, Denver, CO; Matthew Summers, Omaha, NE and great-granddaughter Adalyn.
