Ernest "Keith" Phelps

Keith Phelps, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at The Villages of Jackson Creek. Visitation will take place from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, 2012 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 in the chapel. Burial at Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Keith was born September 4, 1930 in Keytesville, MO to Ernest H. and Ida Grace (Wisdom) Phelps. He was a member of Lee’s Summit Baptist Temple, as well as Eastgate #630 Masonic Temple and the Jackson County Shriners. Keith leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Phelps; daughter, Marie Dove (Steve); step-daughter Verlinda Curtis (Bradley); step-son J.D. Carey (Lynda); eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
