Fleeta L. "Betty" Phipps

Fleeta L. "Betty� Phipps, 86, of Buckner, MO formerly of Kansas City passed away Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Medical Center of Independence. A graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery will be at a later date. Betty was born March 8, 1917 in Hustonia, MO to Early and Celeste Davis. She had owned and operated Betty�s gift shop for several years, and retired as manager of Fireside Gifts on the Country Club Plaza. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alfred Phipps, and a son, William Robert. She is survived by her son, Thomas A. Phipps of Roseville, CA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; nieces, Linda Brown and Nancy Davis; a nephew, Bud Davis, all of Buckner, MO; and many great nieces and nephews.
