Frances Nadine Phipps, 91, Kansas City North, MO passed away Sept. 17, 2007. Services will be 10 am, Friday, Sept. 21 2007 at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Independence, MO 64052; interment at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
Nadine was born Sept. 5, 1916, in Kansas City, MO and lived in the Independence area for many years. She was a member of the Maywood Baptist Church. She worked for many years as the assistant librarian at Van Horn High School.
Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Jess Phipps in 1978; daughter Mary Ann Pickering in 1986. She is survived by sons Charles James Phipps and wife Bonnie, Baltimore, MD; Stephen J. Phipps and wife Dorothy, Liberty, MO; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
