Helen Phung (Hua)

Helen Phung, 61 of Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 23, 2020 at her residence. Services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial in Longview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6 to 9:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Helen was born February 7, 1959 in Saigon, Vietnam and has lived in the US for many years. She had worked as assembler for Nexus Medical Equipment. Survivors include; her husband Simon Phung of the home; 2 sons, Westley Phung and Sean Phung both of the home; 2 sisters, Lang Lu of Lee’s Summit, MO and Muoi Hua of Independence, MO; a brother, Thanh Minh Hua (Diep Ngoc Ngo of Vietnam and Ha Dieu Khon of Vietnam; 2 brothers-in-law, Hung Chan Phung (Helen Huynh) of Canada and Hung Tho Phung of Canada and a sister-in-law, Ling Phung (Tung Van Huynh of Canada.
