Minerva Flora Pickett (Helt)

Minerva Flora Pickett, 88 of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her residence. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Timothy Lutheran Church, 425 NW RD Mize Rd. Blue Springs, MO 64014. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m., until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, MO at 2:30 p.m., Saturday. Minerva was born April 11, 1929 in Lafayette County, MO to Henry and Flora (Dittmer) Helt. She had worked for Bank of America for a number of years in various capacities until she retired in 1993. She enjoyed crocheting, baking bread, family time and her church. She was a member of Timothy Lutheran Church. Survivors include; a daughter, Melinda Johnson of Blue Springs, MO; a son, Randall Pickett and wife Cheryl of Madison, MS; 7 grandchildren, Nick and Becky Johnson, Justin and Stephannie Johnson, Trevor and Rachel Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Carissa and Derek Bailey, Aundrea and Keaton Eilers and David and Joyanna Pickett; 2 great grandchildren, Amelia and Ethan Johnson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor N. Pickett in 2011, a son-in-law Bruce Johnson in 2010, a brother, Forest Lee Helt and a sister, Marie Porter.
