Ted Pienta, 66, of Raytown, MO passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3pm on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055.
Ted was born on April 28, 1951 in Spring Hill, PA to Theodore, Sr. and Janet (Walker) Pienta. After graduating high school he met and married the love of his life, Edna “Catherine” Lawrence. They were married 43 years and raised a son together. He spent 29 years working for Ford Motor Company on the assembly line in Claycomo. In his spare time, Ted loved being outdoors – hunting, fishing, and shooting guns. He also loved crafting wood projects for people, especially his wife. Most of all Ted enjoyed time with his son and grandson.
He will always be remembered by his wife Catherine Pienta of Raytown, MO; son Jarrett Pienta and wife Jamie of Independence, MO; grandson Alex Pienta; adopted son Lakiri Holman; sister Kitty Lownsbery and husband Skip; sister Debbie Lumadue; brother Bill Poe; best friend Bruce Weilmuenster; plus several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, several cousins and very close friends.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Missouri Department of Conservation.
