Marion P.  Pike (Buchan)

Marion P. Pike, 94 Independence, MO passed away Sept. 29, 2017. Funeral services will begin at 7 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Visitation will begin at 6 pm before the service at the chapel. Committal service will be at 10 am, Wed. at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens.
Marion was born Aug. 25, 1923 in Tyvan, Saskatchewan, Canada. After her high school graduation she served in the Canadian Women’s Army Corp during WW II. She was a member of the Slover Park Congregation of RLDS, later Community of Christ. She enjoyed bowling at Diamond Bowl.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Pike in 1993. She is survived by daughters Donna O’Dell; Donelda Williams and husband Keith, all of Independence, MO; son Jay Pike and wife Rhonda, Blue Springs, MO; ten grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
