ELVEROSE JUNE PIPER
June Piper, 95, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, March 20, 2017. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will follow at 2pm. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
June was born in Independence, MO to Paul and Lillie Hommes. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, DAV #2 Auxiliary, and a past member of the Social Order of Beauceant Assembly 150. She was married to the love of her life, Bob Piper, for 70 years.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband Bob of the home; son Jim Piper and wife Haruko of Los Angeles, CA; brother Harry Hommes of Independence, MO; plus several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Steppingstone 5100 Noland Rd, Kansas City, MO, 64133.
