Ruth Pixler

Ruth Pixler, 85, Independence, MO passed away Friday, December 15, 2007 at St. Mary’s Manor after complications of Alzheimer’s. A memorial visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep.. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made the Wayside Waifs. Ruth was born May 9, 1922 to Robert and Isabel (Burlington) Taylor. She graduated from William Chrisman in 1941. On November 21, 1947 she married Jack Pixler. Ruth was a member of the Blue Ridge Boulevard Christian Church. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 2004, and three sisters: Miss Mary Taylor, Miss Millie Taylor, and Emily Major. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Patient, husband Art, grandson, David Patient, all of Independence; and niece, Marsha Boyd of San Diego, CA. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s Manor for their loving care of mom.
