Alice Plain

Alice L. Plain, 89, of Independence, MO passed away September 27, 2014. A visitation will be held from 9-10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. service on Wednesday, October 1, at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO. Burial will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery. Alice was born April 14, 1925 in Independence, MO to John and Mable (Wilcox) Raveill. In earlier years, Alice enjoyed crocheting, bowling, fishing and traveling with her husband James. She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Martha and Elaine; and brother-in-law, Fred Plain. She is survived by her two granddaughters, Carla Melott and Tamara Corcoran; sister-in-law and caretaker, Darlene Plain; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and other loving family members.
