Teresa was born February 21, 1961 to James E. McPhail and Mary L. (Grigsby) McPhail in Independence, Missouri. Teresa attended Truman High school and went into a career of finance and office management. On September 5, 1987 she married Joseph D. Pleacher Jr. and from their union they were blessed with 3 beautiful children.
Teresa had what some people would say as “sass” but was always loving, thoughtful, and caring. Even through the struggle’s life handed to her, she put everyone else first and fought hard every step of the way. She enjoyed spending her life watching her daughter during her horse-riding years, and she was her sons’ number one fan as he continued to play a long journey of baseball. As her kids got older, she was able to enjoy spending time with all her grandchildren. One of her favorite adventures was traveling to places such as Cancun every summer, long roads trips to Yellowstone just a year ago, and anywhere she could spend time making memories with her family and friends. She will be missed deeply but will always be remembered for the good times, fun times, and laughter. This past weekend Teresa was able to celebrate her and Joe’s 34th anniversary sitting by the pool and enjoying a nice relaxing weekend together. She loved her husband and kids fiercely.
Teresa is survived by her spouse Joseph D. Pleacher Jr.; her children, ReAnna M. Cerny (James), Milan J. Michael Pleacher (Rachel); 7 grandchildren with one on the way; her siblings Linda Wilson, Ron McPhail, Brenda Williston; many extended family and friends. She is preceded by her parents, James, and Mary McPhail; her brother Jimmy Dean; and a daughter Becky Lee Pleacher.
