Donald L. Ploeger

Donald L. Ploeger of Independence, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022. He was 87 years of age.
Donald was born on November 24, 1934, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Olin and Ruth (Schroder) Ploeger. He graduated from William Chrisman High School and obtained his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Central Missouri and was employed at C.A. Kiger as an account for 30 years. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married his best friend and the love of his life Judith Warren on September 29, 1961, and from this union came three children. Donald will be deeply missed.
Donald is survived by his children, Jana Kuhn, Donald Ploeger, Jr., Victoria Ploeger; grandchildren, Cameron, Nick, Josh, Kelsey, Madison; greatgrandchild, Soren; siblings, Keith (Barbara), Ralph (Betty), Warren (Leslie), Henry (Ruth); sister-in-law, JoAnn, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Judy; parents, Olin and Ruth Ploeger; and brother, Charles.
A memorial visitation will take place at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Family will greet guest between the hours of 5-7 pm on Wednesday, August 17th. A private family inurnment will take place at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri at a later date.
