Nestora Polina 87 of Sugar Creek passed away Thu. Aug. 31, 2006 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 am Wed. Sep. 6, 2006 at St. Mary�s Catholic Church. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:30 pm Tuesday at the Carson- Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO with a Prayer Service and Rosary being said at 7:00 pm. Contributions are suggested to the St. Mary�s Altar and Rosary Society. Mrs. Polina was born on Feb. 26, 1919 to Sebriano and Paula Galvan in Alton, IL and has lived in Sugar Creek most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and grandmother who enjoyed flowers, quilting and sewing for family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church and served on the Altar and Rosary Societies. Mrs. Polina was preceded in death by a son, Leonard Polina, a grandson, Michael Polina and six siblings. She is survived by her husband of sixty-eight years, Julian Polina of Sugar Creek. A son, Benny Polina and wife Addie of Armuchee, GA; a daughter in law, Marie Ramirez of Sugar Creek. Three grandchildren, Mark Polina and wife, Mary Ann of Sugar Creek, Julio Ramirez of Sugar Creek and Jessica VanMeter of Blue Springs. Four great Grandchildren, Elizabeth Polina, Austin Sawyer, Christian and Nicholas VanMeter; one brother Fred Galvan of Overland Park, KS.
