Dorothy Adeline Pollard, 89, of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, June 4, 2005. Services will be 10 am, Wed., June 8, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; interment in Brooking Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 am, Wed. until service time. Dorothy was born January 8, 1916 in Independence to Charles and Virgil (Davey) Lanphear. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles A. Lanphear Jr.; her husbands, Donald Cook and Howard Pollard. She is survived by nephew Charles Lanphear III and wife Susan, their children Chase and Lexie; sister-in-law Genevieve Lanphear; four step-children, William Pollard and wife Paula; James Pollard and wife Cathy, all of Indep. Mo.; Dixie Bozarth and husband Jim, Blue Springs, Mo.; and Lisa Harris, Lee�s Summit, Mo.; ten step-grandchildren; and loving caregiver Rita Jenkins.
