Lindsey Porter

Funeral services for Sam Porter 7, & Lindsey Porter, 8 of Independence, MO will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Noland Road Baptist Church. Private interment will follow in Lobb Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, September 27, 2007 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel. Sam was born August 27, 1996 in Independence, MO and at the time of his death was in the 1st grade at Fairmont Elementary School. He enjoyed being with people, all kinds of people. He loved the outdoors, playing basketball, and collecting Yu-Gi-Oh cards, playing with Bossie, but most of all he loved his momma. Lindsey was born July 13, 1995 in Independence, MO and at the time of her death was in the 3rd grade at Fairmont Elementary School. She enjoyed being the center of attention dancing and singing, golf was a big part of her life, she did all sports but she loved that one the most. Lindsey loved taken care of people and animals like Bossie. Bossie was our family Bulldog; she was just like another member of family, and very protective of us. Bossie would walk Lindsey and Sam to school, of course with their dad. But boy were they proud of her. Sam and Lindsey are survived by; their loving and caring mother, Tina (Lindsey) Porter of Independence, MO; father, Daniel W. Porter of Cameron, MO; grandparents, Rosemary Lindsey of Albuquerque, NM, Sam Porter of Lakeland FL, Marilyn Emmert of Harrison, AR and 17 aunts and uncles.
