Marnes Porter-Wall

Marnes T. Porter-Wall, 97 of Independence, MO, passed away, Friday, July 12, 2013 at her residence. Cremation is planned with a private family gathering to be held at a later date. Marnes was born June 11, 1916 in Washta, IA to Chancy and Grace (Payne) Cooper. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her family. She had worked for over 40 years for the Kansas City Casket Company and was also a CMA in her later years. She is survived by; a daughter, Carlene Porter Purcell of Independence, MO; 3 sons, Leonard Porter of Independence, MO, Richard Porter of Sacramento, CA and Bob Porter of Kansas City, MO; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Wall in 1989, 2 sisters, Dorothy and Clara and 5 brothers, Lewis, Russell, Dale, Wayne and Clayton.
