William F. “Bill” Porter, 66 of Kingsville, MO passed away, Saturday, August 17, 2013. Bill went to be with his Heavenly Father after a brave struggle with ALS. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Independence Christian Center 20201 NW Valley View Rd., Blue Springs, MO 64015. The family will greet friends prior to the services. Donations may be made to the ALS Association, Keith Worthington Chapter, 6950 Squib Rd. Suite 210, Mission, KS 66202. He was born January 19, 1947 to Frank and Betty Porter. He graduated from Knob Noster High and enlisted in the Army, serving his country in Vietnam. Bill was accepted into the Tool and Die Apprenticeship at Bendix in 1981. His enthusiasm for his job led him to a long career, retiring in 2010. He was a caring man, full of integrity. Bill was always happy to help out in any way possible, especially with do-it-yourself projects. Family and friends will miss his off-beat sense of humor. Survivors include; father, Frank Porter; siblings, Ann (Gary) Telford, John (Debbie) Porter; wife, Christine Porter; daughters, Jennifer (Ray) Nilsen, Laurel (Jake) Reynolds, April (Dan) Agate; grandchildren, Avery, Aaron, Max, Sofi, Dani, Layla and Ava.
