Roberta Potter, 79, of Independence, passed away Saturday, June 16th, 2018. A visitation will be held Friday, June 22nd from 1-2:00pm with a service following at 2:00pm, both at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Roberta was born September 6th, 1938, in Des Moines, IA to Robert and Ellen Lee (Bullington) Dickerson. She worked for many years as a long-distance operator for Southwestern Bell and then AT&T. Roberta loved studying history including biographical books and movies, but she was most passionate about her family and will be greatly missed by them. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Charles Potter in 2012. She is survived by her children, Christine Potter of Independence, David Potter of Belton and Kenneth Potter of Kansas City; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy and Kellen; one great-grandson, Jayden; as well as, her brother, Don Dickerson of Redding, PA.
