T. J. Price, 50, Blue Springs, MO passed away Aug. 20, 2013. Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Graceway Church, 5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Kansas City, MO 64133. T.J. was born Aug. 7, 1963 in Long Beach, CA. He graduated from Raytown High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a radio personality and comedy writer for many years on KY102, 99.7 KY and 101 The Fox and created many memorable characters such as “General Gridlock” the traffic reporter. He currently provided comedy material to radio stations across the country with his company Delicious Audio. He was also the lead singer of the local band “Monkey Finger”. He was a very genuine person who was helpful, intelligent and talented. He loved war history and his family and friends. T.J. is survived by his son Patrick Price and wife Hannah; grandson Aiden Mathewson, all of Independence, MO; mother Barbara Price, New Franklin, MO; father Dr. Carroll Price; :brothers Tony Price and wife Angela, Clearwater, FL; Terry Price and wife Cindy, Denton TX.
