Clarice Marie Priest, 80 of Independence, MO passed away, Tue., Sep. 16, 2003 at the Rosewood Health Center. Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, where the visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Cremation with inurnment at a later date. Contributions are suggested to Rosewood Care Center, Alzheimers Unit, 1415 W. White Oak, Independence, MO 64050 Mrs. Priest was born on Jan 27, 1923 to John and Meta Ubben in Hildreth, NE. She had lived in Hildreth, NE, North Platte, NE and Denver, CO before moving to Independence in 1977. She was a loving wife, mother & grandmother. She loved Bowling, Reading, Crocheting, Gardening, Playing Cards and Sewing all kinds of Clothing. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran Church of America. Mrs. Priest is survived by her husband Leonard E. Priest of Independence, MO. A son and daughter-in-law, Alan & Regina Priest of Warrensburg, MO. A daughter & son-in-law, Amy & Kim Gertz of Hamilton, MO. Six grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, one step-great grandchild. A brother, John Ubben of Allendale, MI. Two sisters Dorothy Klahn of Denver, CO and Joan Parrigon of Pierce City, MO.
