She was a lifelong area resident and a member of Summit Springs Baptist Church. She married Methodist Reverend Gordon Pritchett on June 13, 1954. She was a dedicated, and very active, minister’s wife at Mt. Calvary Methodist Church located in Independence, MO. Mrs. Pritchett had a tremendous love for animals, particularly dogs, and for young people of all ages. She supported animal rescue organizations and she taught both Young Adult Sunday School and Awanas classes. She was a huge advocate of spreading the gospel and supported world missions. Her love for her fellow man and for the Lord led her to be a community volunteer in a local food pantry as well as other such selfless giving. She was also active in the Republican Party as a telephone volunteer and she went door to door for various issues. Her employment history included the Inter-City Press and the Credit Bureau where she worked as a supervisor for many years. Mrs. Pritchett was always an exemplary employee and she truly lived her life for Christ. All that were blessed to know her, quickly grew to love her. She never knew a stranger.
