Ethel D. Pugh, 72, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Tuesday, April 5th at Regency Care Center. Services will be 10:00 am Friday, April 8th at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 pm Thursday at the chapel. Burial will be in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Ethel was born June 24, 1932 in Princeton, MO to Stephen Edward and Nancy Elizabeth (Henry) Pollard. She retired from the Kansas City School District after many years as a cook. Ethel was a strong Christian woman who placed an emphasis on family values. In her spare time, she loved to cook and go shopping for her family. Mrs. Pugh is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack A. Pugh of the home; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and Jim Diamond of Sweet Springs, MO, daughter Pam Pugh of Bolivar, MO, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Beth Pugh of Grain Valley, MO, daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Mike Sapp of Independence, MO; grandchildren Mike Rathmann, Andi Meyer, Kelly Hunsaker, Katie and Jacob Pugh, Mike & Rochelle Sapp Jr., Tiffnee Mortensen, Jackie Fries, Christopher Sapp; great-grandchildren Mason, Dawson and Ethan Meyer, Marissa Rathmann, Stevie and Sara Hunsaker, Jasmin Devul, Kameron Sapp and Jordan Fries; sister Eunice Margaret Daniels; sisters-in-law Romana and Mary Jean Pollard; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
