Marcus Quirarte passed away on July 9, 2016.
Born on March 29th, 1955 in Independence MO to Barbara Nelson Brown. Marc was an employee of Bayer since 1976 and continued employment until his health decline in 2009. He was a life long resident and sports advocate in the Independence Community. He was a superior athlete in local baseball & softball leagues in his youth. As an adult and father, he coached years of baseball and basketball.
He is survived by his wife and caretaker, Ladelle, his sister Charese Hester (Greg), nephew Eric of Alabama, son Robert (Katie) of Independence MO, daughters Stacey of Independence MO, Kelsey & Marlee of California. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Terrell, Ella, Andy and Eme, and canine companions; Lola, Brian Link and Khloe.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to John Carnes, Marcs' close childhood friend, for his help, concern & support during our difficult time. A special thank you to Davita dialysis staff of Lee's Summit MO, Dr. Doug Cochran of St. Luke’s & Bishop Spencer Place, KCMO.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, from 6-8pm, with funeral service at 10am Thursday, both at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Avenue in Independence.
Marcus fought a long difficult battle and his suffering has now come to an end. May he rest in peace.
