Tondra Jo “T.J.” Ramsey, 44, passed away on April 29, 2017. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 12, from 6-8pm, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St. in Independence, MO. Contributions may be made to the family through https://www.gofundme.com/remembering-tj.
T.J. was born on January 11, 1973, in Kansas City, MO, to Jimmy and Marsha Law. She attended William Chrisman High School and graduated from the Nursing Program at Penn Valley Community College. She married Mark Ramsey, and together they raised three children. She worked for FosterAdopt Connect and Harmony House, caring for children with special needs.
T.J. enjoyed photography, playing Farmville and poker online, and watching the KC Chiefs and Nascar. She had a huge heart, and wouldn’t think twice about going above and beyond for someone who needed help.
T.J. is survived by her husband and best friend of 23 years, Mark Ramsey; children, Ashley Maclachlan (husband, Ryan), Tyler Ramsey, and Mariah Ramsey; her grandchildren (whom she referred to as her “bananas”), James and Holden; father, Jimmy Law (wife, Brenda); mother, Marsha Cureton; brother, Kip Rorrer; sister, Jessica VanWinkle; and many extended family, friends, and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Don Cureton.
