Charlene W. Ranes

Charlene W. Ranes, 93 of Independence, MO passed away, Tue. Jun. 27, 2006 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 11:00 am, Sat. Jul 1, 2006 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with the visitation being held one hour prior to the service. Burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to a charity of choice. Mrs. Ranes was born on Aug 30, 1912 in Waco, TX and had lived in Independence, KS and San Antonio, TX before moving to Independence, MO eleven years ago. She had been an Assistant Podiatrist for Dr. Harold Sauder in Independence, KS retiring in 1979. Mrs. Ranes was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed Crocheting and cooking for her family and friends. Her grandchildren meant everything to her. She had previously been a member of the First Methodist Church in Independence, KS. Mrs. Ranes was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill� Ranes in 1976. A son, Franklin F. Ranes in 1995, Two daughters, Sharon Lee Ranes Newell in 1955 and Billie Jo Ranes Haertl in 1966 and two sisters and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Ranes McBride and husband, Donald of Independence, MO. Four grandchildren, Janet Kirtley and husband Jerry, Jeffrey Hull and wife Rhonda, Charna Wunder and husband Brian and Donal Haertl and Fianc�e, Denette Stice. Eight great grandchildren, Derek Kirtley, Kelli Mobley, Mackenzie Hull, Christopher Wunder, Allison Wunder, Corey Showalter, Chad Showalter and Lindsey Stice and two great great grandsons, Jaden Mobley and Bayler Mobley.
