Joseph Thomas "Joe" Rasperger

Joseph T. Rasperger, 96, Blue Springs, MO passed away April 3, 2017. Committal service with Full Military Honors will be --, --, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. The family requests contributions to Blue Ridge Boulevard Christina Church, 3625 Blue Ridge Blvd, Independence, MO 64052. Joe was born Sept. 9, 1920 in Hammond, IN. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WW II where he served in the Mariana Islands as a member of the Fighting Seabees. He was a member of American Legion Post #21 and VFW Post #1000. He was a skilled woodworker and enjoyed going to the Ozarks and activities with friends and family. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Rasperger, daughter Bonnie Williams and son Joseph “Butch” Rasperger. He is survived by daughters Sandra Adkinson and husband William; Barbara Hoffman, all of Independence, MO; brother Rudy Rasperger, Olathe, KS; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
